Schwing America Inc., White Bear, Minn., has appointed Dr. Frank Thiele as chief operating officer. In his position, Thiele will be responsible for engineering, logistics, manufacturing and purchasing for the company's line of equipment including concrete pumps, truck mixers, recycling systems, batch plants and the company's environmental pumps and accessories.
Thiele brings a strong background in manufacturing and a doctorate degree in mechanical engineering to the position. His most recent position was with Demag Delaval Turbo. Prior to that he worked with Deutche Babcock in Charlotte, N.C., where he was able to provide manufacturing efficiencies in their textile machinery manufacturing.
"The quality of craftsmanship that Schwing America Inc. provides is in demand worldwide," said Thiele.
