Ohio has received approval from the Federal Highway Administration to study privatizing the Ohio Turnpike, according to the Cleveland <i>Plain Dealer</i>.


The state plans to use $1.5 million in federal money to examine the revenue potential of the turnpike.


An Ohio Department of Transportation spokesman said the state would consider leasing the turnpike if the agency were convinced it was the right thing to do for Ohio.
