Hill & Smith Inc. has added HAAS Alert’s Safety Cloud® and HA-5 Transponder collision prevention and real-time digital alerting system to its industry-leading line of ITS & Smart Work Zone solutions, bringing the latest roadway safety technology to Work Zones across the world.
Safety Cloud® provides roadway workers with advanced safety and protection by delivering real-time notifications to approaching drivers through Waze and in-vehicle navigation systems, providing more advance warning for motorists to safely avoid collision with crews and equipment. These alerts provide approaching drivers a 15-20 seconds warning to safely Slow Down. Safety Cloud® is available as an add-on safety solution for active Work Zone products and easily integrates into Hill & Smith’s diverse line of Smart Work Zone devices.
Hill & Smith’s exclusive distribution of HAAS Alert’s HA-5 Transponder seamlessly integrates into the current line of Smart Work Zone devices, such as the Vehicle-Mounted Message Boards and Smart ArrowMaster™ Pro-Line Arrow Boards, to send Work Zone safety alerts to approaching motorists through Waze and in-vehicle navigation systems. The Transponder runs off vehicle or Smart Work Zone device power and can be installed inside a vehicle or within a plastic enclosure.
