AECOM Technology Corp., a provider of diversified technical professional services, has named John Dionisio, P.E., as its executive vice president and chief operating officer. Dionisio also serves as chairman of DMJM+Harris Inc. He will be headquartered in AECOM's New York City offices. Fred Werner, P.E., formerly DMJM+Harris' chief operating officer, replaces Dionisio as president of DMJM+Harris.
AECOM has 17,000 employees in more than 25 major operating offices worldwide, providing design, engineering and consulting services; program management and construction management; and outsourced technical staffing and logistical support services.
Notable AECOM infrastructure projects include cleanup of Boston Harbor and the St. Lawrence River; program management of the Alameda Corridor in Los Angeles; design of the nation's largest highway project in Texas; construction management of the nation's largest proprietary cargo terminal at Port of Los Angeles; and heavy involvement in the rebuilding and revitalization of lower Manhattan including the new Second Avenue Subway and a key Long Island Rail Road terminal.
