Boswell Underwater Engineering, the marine engineering division of Boswell Engineering, South Hackensack, N.J., will provide 200 field days of underwater inspection services during the rehabilitation of the FDR Drive from east 56th Street to east 63rd Street in Manhattan, N.Y.
In addition, Boswell was recently awarded its 10th consecutive NYSDOT contract since 1991 involving bridge diving inspections and fathometric surveys. The latest contract award will involve 185 bridges in Regions 10 and 11 over the next two years and will supplement Boswell's current NYSDOT Western Agreement scheduled to be completed in 2003 and which requires underwater inspections and fathometer surveys of 223 bridges in Regions 3, 4, 5 and 6. To date, BUE has performed 1,049 bridge diving inspections and 490 fathometric surveys for the NYSDOT.
