Allen Zeyher, associate editor of ROADS&BRIDGES magazine, received the 2002 Robert F. Boger award for his feature article on Chicago's Wacker Drive construction project (Reviving a landmark, October 2001). The Construction Writers Association distributes this annual award for editorial excellence and achievement in construction journalism. Zeyher's Wacker Drive article detailed the reconstruction of downtown Chicago's 75-year-old double-deck road structure.

ROADS&BRIDGES has now earned national acclaim for three consecutive years. In 2000, the magazine was recognized as most improved business-to-business magazine. Last year, Editor Bill Wilson received the Boger award for his editorial on work-zone safety (What to wear, July 2000).

"Our string of achievement tells us we're moving in the right direction," said Wilson. "We will continue to strive for excellence in the highway and bridge construction industry. That is our vow to our readers."

ROADS&BRIDGES magazine is one of Scranton Gillette Communications' 11 b-to-b publications. SGC primarily serves the infrastructure and horticulture markets through b-to-b magazines, newsletters and websites. In 2000, the Des Plaines, Ill.-based company was nationally recognized as one of the country's fastest growing publishing companies.
