On Monday, 4 miles of M-30 between Edenville and Billings in Michigan closed for construction. Construction is planned to be finished by Oct. 11.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) began work Monday, March 4, on a permanent three-span bridge on M-30 over the Tobacco River and Wixom Lake in Gladwin County. This will replace the temporary bridge that is currently installed.

Local traffic will be detoured onto Curtis Road to M-18, then Dale Road back to M-30 as construction is going on.

Truck Traffic will be detoured to US-10 to M-18, then M-61 back to M-30.

The Midland County Road Commission reminds drivers to be cautious around construction zones, slow down, pay attention, and be aware of driving conditions.
