Dennis Slater, president of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), has been named to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's "Committee of 100," which recommends Chamber policy and programs related to associations. The Chamber's Committee of 100 includes a cross section of U.S. associations–large and small in size as well as state, national and international in scope. Participants are chosen based on leadership, advocacy involvement and management expertise.
The association is a founding member of the U.S. Chamber, which was organized in 1912.
"Our Chamber participation is an example of AEM's outreach efforts to help equipment manufacturers address the impact of increased government legislation and regulations on their businesses," noted Slater. "In today's global economy, it's more important than ever to highlight the need for the manufacturing sector to remain competitive in order to contribute positively to their communities."
