Yanmar’s ViO55-5B Mini Excavator combines durability, reliability, versatility and innovation to create a cost-effective and environmentally friendly excavator for small jobs anywhere. A true zero-tail-swing design allows for 360° turning of the counterweight within the width of the crawler, which means tight operating space is all the room needed to accomplish excavating objectives. Tracks are positioned to present a stable platform with 6 ft 6 in. of total width. High-tensile-strength steel keeps the machine light while providing safety and balance for the operator.

Maximum bucket digging force is 9,015 lb with a digging depth of 13 ft 8 in. The ViO55-5B utilizes the first tailor-made hydraulic quick coupler in the industry as standard equipment. This will make attachment changes a one-person job, thereby maintaining a higher level of job productivity. A new angle blade option is also available on this machine. The angled blade assists when backfilling in trenching operations, and the blade extensions keep the machine farther away from the delicate edge of the excavation, which can help reduce the risk of the trench side caving in.
