This project, which was completed this past summer and included 8 miles of road, involved working in flood plains and wetlands of the Raritan River basin and stream disturbance could not take place from April through June due to fish spawns. The project area also was considered an archaeological site and required the monitoring for artifacts during excavations. Total cost: $83.9 million.
