Handling heights

Gehl Co. recently introduced the RS10 telescopic handler. This new addition to the RS Series telescopic handlers has a rated lift capacity of 10,000 lb and a maximum lift height of 44 ft. The boom of the RS10 telescopic handler has a welded box-section design that it shares with the Gehl DL Series telescopic handlers. The 10,000-lb operating capacity is achieved without the use of outriggers or fluid-filled tires, although outriggers are optional for added stability.

The patented Personnel Work Platform (PWP) Safety System is available as an option on the RS10 model as well. The PWP System allows the use of ANSI/ITSDF B56.6-compliant personnel work platforms. The PWP Safety System adds versatility, making jobs almost as easy as working at ground level.
A rear-axle stabilizer system improves stability by locking the rear axle in position whenever the boom is raised more than 60°, the parking brake is applied or the PWP System is activated. Other design features include a strong frame with reinforced C-channels, internal wet-disc brakes for better stopping ability and longer life.
