Greater maneuverability

John Deere has introduced two new sizes to its D-Series excavators, filling out the line with the compact 60D and mid-size 85D. Both excavators feature reduced-tail-swing designs that allow them to rotate freely within a small radius and get closer to objects on congested jobsites. Greater maneuverability also means more productivity when working in confined spaces and around obstacles.
The 85D’s swing boom allows it to dig parallel to walls and foundations. With increased swing torque and drawbar pull, the 85D produces like a larger machine.
