Takeuchi has announced the addition of the TB228 excavator to its lineup of products, replacing the TB125. The TB228 compact excavator is a 24.3-hp machine with an operating weight of just over 6,000 lb. Maximum digging depth is 9 ft 5 in, and maximum bucket digging force is 6,471 lb.
The excavator features an EPA Tier IV-compliant engine, two-speed travel with automatic shift down and available rubber or steel tracks. It has electrohydraulic push-button control of auxiliary hydraulics and precise, responsive proportional pilot joystick controls.
