Elgin Sweeper

Elgin Sweeper Company, founded in 1914, is the manufacturer of the world’s first mechanical street sweeper. Their product line includes three and four wheel mechanical, regenerative air and pure vacuum sweepers renowned for their high quality and top productivity. New technologies such as PM-10 compliance, alternative fuel driven, waterless technology, and noise reduction are just a few being introduced into their line of sweepers. Elgin is a subsidiary of Federal Signal Corporation, which also includes Vactor Manufacturing & Guzzler Manufacturing in Streator, IL; and Jetstream of Houston in Houston, TX.
