The Cranberry Connector, completed in June 2004, provided a much-needed link between I-79 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike, as well as improvements to Rte. 228. The Connector reduced traffic to 57,000 ADT along the Rte. 19 corridor and cut truck traffic on local roads by 75%. Total cost: $65 million.
