No. 8 - Beach Road Reconstruction

Dec. 3, 2014

A road that wraps around a place called Million Dollar

Beach required deep pockets to hold the answers to a variety

of challenges. The Beach Road Reconstruction project

involved the first use of heavy-duty porous pavement in

the state of New York. The project also eliminated direct

stormwater discharge into Lake George for storm events

of 5 in. or less in a 24-hour period, markedly reducing the

pollutant loading for all but the most severe events.
