Sakai was founded in Japan in May 1918 for the manufacture and repair of diesel locomotives. Over time, those product lines evolved into what are now the premier self-propelled vibratory rollers in the world, shipping more rollers annually than any other manufacturer. Products for the North American market are now made in America and shipped from Sakai in Georgia. This strong commitment to the American market is additionally supported by the rapid dispatch of parts and service from this new facility north of Atlanta.
