Yanmar America Corp. sends aid to hurricane victims

Yanmar America Corp., with regional North America headquarters in Buffalo Grove, Ill., and its affiliates, Tuff Torq Corp. in Tennessee, Yanmar Manufacturing America and Yanmar Marine USA in Adairsville, Ga., and Kanzaki in Japan, have made $60,000 in cash donations to the American Red Cross. Additionally, Yanmar Co., Ltd., of Japan is prepared to send two Yanmar wheel loaders valued at $85,000 to assist in the relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Yanmar America Corp.

Yanmar America Corp., with regional North America headquarters in Buffalo Grove, Ill., and its affiliates, Tuff Torq Corp. in Tennessee, Yanmar Manufacturing America and Yanmar Marine USA in Adairsville, Ga., and Kanzaki in Japan, have made $60,000 in cash donations to the American Red Cross. Additionally, Yanmar Co., Ltd., of Japan is prepared to send two Yanmar wheel loaders valued at $85,000 to assist in the relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Yanmar America Corp.

President Akihiko Nakaoka said the company has also instituted a matching gifts program, with the company matching dollar for dollar the donations raised by its employees for hurricane victims. To date, employees have donated $2,300, which Yanmar w ill match and contributions are continuing to come in. Over 300 lb of clothing have been donated by Yanmar America employees and were shipped to the Red Cross for distribution.
