Session 1: Snow and Ice Management in the New Normal
12 pm Eastern | 11 am Central

What will this 2020-2021 winter be like? That is a pretty common question and one that normally relates to the prediction of the weather for the upcoming season. This year it takes on a whole new meaning as winter maintenance managers begin planning their operations during a time of extreme uncertainty and with new challenges they have never had to deal with before. How will agencies achieve this should the pandemic continue and given the possibilities of reduced staffing and reduced budgets?

In this session, our speakers will discuss these issues. They will look at how agencies are adjusting, and what measures they have put in place. Notably, they will discuss how different agencies have been affected in both urban and rural environments.
