San Francisco became the third city piloting the RideScout transportation aggregator app last week, joining Washington, D.C., and Austin, Texas.
RideScout collects data on all public transportation options in a given city and lets users view them all on one screen. This includes the typical bus and train options as well as local ride-sharing services. Users can search for a ride based on a variety of filters, including speed and price.
For those transporting themselves, RideScout provides walking or driving directions to their destination, complete with nearby parking options courtesy of the web-based Parking Panda service.
RideScout is still working to sign transportation services in the respective cities to give users the most complete view possible.
