Roads & Bridges magazine, a product of Scranton Gillette Communications, claimed three 2011 Robert F. Boger Awards from the Construction Writer’s Association. The awards honor the late Robert F. Boger, publisher of Mc-Graw-Hill’s Engineering News-Record magazine and Construction Methods & Equipment magazine, as well as the primary force behind the founding of CWA. The association established the awards in 1975 for editorial excellence and achievement in construction journalism.
Editorial Director Bill Wilson was awarded the Boger Award for Editorials for his July 2010 column on the highway bill reauthorization and also claimed first place in the video category for coverage on the construction of the new San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. Wilson received an honorable mention in the Robert F. Boger Features category for his State of the Bridges report.
Roads & Bridges magazine has now won 9 Boger Awards over the last decade.
