The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) issued a call for nominations for the association's 6th annual PRIDE Awards, which honor "excellence in community relations and public education that enhance the image of the U.S. transportation construction industry."
The awards competition categories include:
* Community Relations: Programs and activities that demonstrate positive civic involvement with the community in which a firm/agency is located.
* Public-Media Relations/Education: Programs and activities that educate the public and opinion leaders about the significant contributions the transportation construction industry (or a specific sector of it) makes to the economy and/or quality of life.
The PRIDE Awards program is open to all industry firms, agencies and associations. ARTBA membership is not required. Roads & Bridges magazine is one of the sponsors to this year's awards competition.
A completed nomination and entry form must be received at the ARTBA headquarters building by Feb. 10, 2005. Additional entry forms may be obtained by calling Rhonda Britton at 202/289-4434 or downloaded from the ARTBA website (www.artba.org).
