Plowing roads

Henke Manufacturing’s, Leavenworth, Kan., compression spring trip- edge snowplow is a new, efficient clean-design plow for urban applications. Trip-edge plows are well suited for navigation of manhole covers, curbs and a variety of obstacles faced by plowing in urban areas. Henke’s new compression spring trip-edge design features six adjustable trip springs arranged into three trip sections. With this unique approach, an encountered manhole only activates a section of the trip edge and the entire length, minimizing disruption to the plow operation.

Available in either a rigid-mounted or a pin-on moldboard design, this new design will be a welcome addition to the fleet of any urban snow fighter. The snowplow is available in 10, 11 and 12-ft lengths.
