New Holland Construction donates loader backhoes, cash to Katrina relief

New Holland Construction, Carol Stream, Ill., is donating equipment and cash assistance to support ongoing humanitarian relief and restoration work in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

As part of an over one million dollar joint CNH brand hurricane relief effort, seven New Holland Turbo Loader Backhoes have been delivered to the local government in Plaquemines Parish, La., an area south of New Orleans damaged by Katrina.

As part of an over one million dollar joint CNH brand hurricane relief effort, seven New Holland Turbo Loader Backhoes have been delivered to the local government in Plaquemines Parish, La., an area south of New Orleans damaged by Katrina.

“We’re proud to do our part by providing equipment that can help in the cleanup and rebuilding efforts in the aftermath of the hurricane,” said Bob Bernardi, vice president, New Holland Construction.

New Holland Construction will continue to work closely with its dealers in the region – and with the National Association of Manufacturers and other groups – to channel assistance to federal and state relief efforts supporting those affected by the disaster.

In addition to supplying equipment, New Holland Construction joins the other CNH brands as they match individual employee donations to the to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
