A three-coat, high-performance organic zinc/epoxy/polyurethane coating system from Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine ensured efficient, accurate shop and field applications that kept the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge project on schedule. Applicators preferred this system due to efficiencies related to the coating’s ease of application and fast drying and recoating times. The system will deliver an expected life expectancy of at least 25 years on the more than six miles of steel coated for the bridge.
