Last week's answer
Question: Which U.S. interstate is the longest continuous highway?
Answer: C. I-90
Interstate 90 is over 3,000 miles and crosses 13 states. It stretches from Seattle, Washington, to Boston, Massachusetts.
The freeway was created by the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1956 and replaced a series of existing highways. It was numbered the next year to reflect its status as the northernmost transcontinental route. I-90 passes the continental divide at Homestake Pass, east of Butte, Montana.
Interstate 80 spans 2,900 miles and is the country’s second-longest continuous highway, while Interstate 10 is 2,460 miles and the fourth-longest.
