Quixote acquires U.S. Traffic Corp.
The Quixote Corp. has announced the acquisition of U.S. Traffic Corp., a privately held designer, manufacturer and supplier of intelligent intersection control systems and other transportation safety equipment. U.S. Traffic Corp., which operates two manufacturing facilities in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., and Tecate, Mexico, produces inductive loop detectors, conflict monitors, controllers, traffic control cabinets, traffic and pedestrian signals, portable and fixed variable message signs, radar speed displays and internally illuminated street signage. Quixote Corp. is a publicly owned company and a recognized leader in energy-absorbing crash cushions, electronic wireless measuring and sensing devices, computerized highway advisory radio transmitting systems and other highway safety products. This acquisition represents its largest to date.
