Pat Olney to head Volvo Construction Equipment’s new road machinery business line

Volvo’s acquisition of Ingersoll Rand’s road development division on April 30 this year makes Volvo a leading global supplier of quality equipment and services for the road building, road maintenance and general construction markets. The new business line, which includes the company’s motor grader product line, was created to provide strategic focus on the road development segment. It has production facilities in the U.S., Germany, India and China and is headquartered in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.

Pat Olney joined Champion Road Machinery in Goderich, Ontario, Canada, in 1995 as financial analyst and held the positions of investor relations manager, financial controller and treasury manager. In 1997, the company was acquired by Volvo Construction Equipment. In 2001, Pat Olney moved to Brussels, Belgium to become senior vice president finance and CFO at the company’s headquarters and returned to Goderich in 2004 as president of the motor grader business line.

Olney holds a degree in Business Administration from The University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. He is also a Chartered Accountant (CA) in Canada. His new position was effective April 30, 2007.
