3M executive named ARTBA vice chairman at-large

3M Vice President of Traffic Safety Systems Division (TSSD) Larry Lair has been appointed a vice chairman at-large for the Washington, D.C.-based American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA). In this role, he serves as a member of the ARTBA Executive Committee and board of directors, and is a key player in developing the association's legislative and regulatory policy positions on transportation development issues.

Lair, a certified public accountant, has more than 20 years experience at 3M. As TSSD vice president, he leads the company's traffic- and vehicle-management systems through innovative solutions that satisfy public safety and mobility needs.

Previously, he has held various supervisory and managerial roles with 3M, including general manager, manufacturing director, plant manager and operations manager throughout the U.S. and Mexico.
