Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick is calling on Boston’s checkered past to fill the state’s transportation secretary position.
According to the Boston Globe, former “Big Dig” chief counsel James Aloisi Jr. is being considered for the job, which has critics demanding reconsideration.
Not only was Aloisi part of a legal team that kept much of the information concerning the “Big Dig” under wraps, but he also has been a strong supporter of former Turnpike Authority Chairman Matthew Amorello, and even praised his efforts while he was overseeing the controversial project.
