The Virginia Road and Transportation Builders Association sponsors an annual safety award program to encourage its members to strive towards the safest, most risk-free working environments possible. There are two award levels, the Charter Award and the Special Recognition Award, based on accident frequency rates compared to man hours worked in a 12-month period.
