Peters' nomination hearing scheduled

The Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee has scheduled a hearing for Sept. 20 to consider the nomination of Mary E. Peters to be the next U.S. Transportation Secretary.

It is expected that the committee will move quickly and report the nomination for full Senate consideration. The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) has contacted the entire Senate in support of the Peters nomination and calling for expeditious approval.
