World of Concrete returned to Las Vegas Jan. 17-21, attracting over 73,000 construction professionals from over 111 countries who came to source thousands of new products, ideas and technologies from 1,597 exhibitors. This year's show marked the second largest number of buyers and exhibits in the history of World of Concrete.

More than 330 companies exhibited for the first time at the 2005 event and product offerings included everything from batch plants, concrete mixing equipment, scaffolding and grout pumps to trucks, loaders, cranes and sawing equipment.

"We had phenomenal traffic and fantastic response to our new product, said Tom McQueen, president of Dannville, Calif.-based ConTie. ConTie introduced a new rebar clip at this year's event. "For us it was a new show and a great learning experience."

World of Concrete's seminar program offered more than 22,000 sessions. The successful new information technology marketplace, Technology for Construction, included a unique 40-session conference program in addition to product exhibits and a high-level executive forum.
