Roads & Bridges launches June funding conference in D.C.

Road & Bridges magazine will host a comprehensive conference that will explore the current status of the economic stimulus-funding package and reauthorization as well as other critical industry concerns. Roads & Bridges Live: State of the Industry–Funding will be held June 3-4, 2009, at the Radisson Hotel Reagan National Airport.

Road & Bridges magazine will host a comprehensive conference that will explore the current status of the economic stimulus-funding package and reauthorization as well as other critical industry concerns. Roads & Bridges Live: State of the Industry–Funding will be held June 3-4, 2009, at the Radisson Hotel Reagan National Airport.

“The industry is at a turning point as it grapples with the ramifications of the president’s economic stimulus package,” said Bill Wilson, R&B editorial director and R&B Live conference chairman. “This conference will help clarify our industry’s new realities,” he said.

In addition to a reauthorization update, including stimulus bill reaction, the conference will include sessions on:

  • Public-private partnerships;
  • Current and future challenges for contractors;
  • Funding issues at the federal and state level (including a reauthorization update);
  • Improving safety on the jobsite and in the work zone;
  • Trends in equipment purchasing, leasing and equipment rentals; and
  • Transportation management/mass transit.
