Road Conditions

According to the latest TRIP analysis of FHWA data, Wyoming's overall road conditions are positive.

  • 5% of state roads are considered to be in poor condition.
  • 11% of state roads are considered to be in mediocre condition.
  • 14% of state roads are considered to be in fair condition.
  • 70% of state roads are considered to be in good condition.

Bridge Conditions

According to the latest FHWA data, Wyoming's overall bridge conditions are moderate. 7.0% of state bridges are considered to be in poor condition, 64.5% are in fair condition, and 28.5% are considered to be in good shape, ranking the state as 26th in the nation according to the American Road Transportation Builders Association's deficiency rank (which takes into account the District of Columbia, as well as Puerto Rico).

There are 3,122 bridges in the state, comprising 1,324,293 sq meters of overall bridge deck area.
