On slippery slopes
The Terex TSV-90 skid-steer loader offers operators an 85-hp Tier IV interim-compliant Cummins turbocharged engine. In addition, it has 3,375 lb of rated operating capacity and 131 in. of lift height, making it suitable for heavy pick-and-carry and large production-loading applications. Built on a chassis with 10.5 in. of ground clearance and a 25.5° angle of departure, the TSV-90 loader is equipped to work on soft, uneven terrain and slopes. Load-sensing hydraulics help ensure fuel and energy are not wasted on surplus hydraulic power, allowing operators to push material, dig, grade and drive through tough jobsite conditions, but conserve power when requirements are less demanding.

Takeuchi-US has released a new line of skid-steer loaders. Ranging in operating weight from 6,500 lb to 8,600 lb and with a rated operating capacity ranging from 1,500 lb to 3,000 lb, all models come equipped with a powerful diesel engine. Radial- and vertical-lift-path options are available and allow the customer to choose the configuration that best suits their needs. The TS Series skid-steer loaders are available with an optional two-speed transmission, providing travel speeds up to 12 mph. To simplify cleaning and maintenance, the loader uses a tilt-up operator’s station and swing-out cooling module.

A new generation
JCB has completed its new generation of skid-steer and compact track loaders with the launch of Tier IV final small-platform models. The eight machines—including the 135, 155, 175, 190 and 205 skid steers, plus the 150T, 190T and 205T compact track loaders—are powered by the all-new JCB diesel by Kohler Tier IV engines. The Tier IV design has cooled exhaust gas recirculation, and the engines use a diesel oxidation catalyst within the exhaust system, eliminating the need for a complex and costly diesel particulate filter. The engines use a common-rail fuel-injection system working at 29,000 psi.

Safe cabs
The Kubota RTV X-Series has released a lineup of diesel work utility vehicles: the RTV-X900, X1120D and X1100C. The four-wheel-drive RTV-X900 is equipped with a 21.6-hp, three-cylinder, liquid-cooled Kubota diesel engine and VHT-X hydrostatic transmission. The RTV-X1120D offers a 24.8-hp diesel engine and ground speed of up to 29 mph, as well as blue-tinted halogen headlights, tilt steering and polished alloy wheels. Finally, the RTV-X1100C has a fully enclosed unibody cab featuring a 78-dBA sound-level rating at cruising speeds. Engineered for safety, the X1100C cab, as well as all other RTV X-Series cabs, meets SAE J2194 and OSHA 1928 ROPS standards.

Power hydraulics
Case Construction Equipment introduced the SR210 radial-lift skid steer, a new Tier IV model that features EZ EH controls and best-in-class torque, breakout force and standard auxiliary hydraulic flow. The new machine increases its rated operating capacity to 2,100 lb when compared with its predecessor, the SR200. The cooled exhaust gas recirculation engine design with particulate matter catalyst helps reduce maintenance and increases engine power by 10%. Weighing in at 6,970 lb, the SR210 is an all-purpose skid steer that offers standard and high-flow auxiliary hydraulics for power and attachment versatility. Rated at 74 gross hp, the new machine offers 7,270-lb bucket breakout force.

Loads of loaders
Bobcat Co. has released its first Tier IV final 600 frame-size loaders—the S630 and S650 skid-steer loaders and the T630 and T650 compact track loaders. The 600-platform loaders are the first Bobcat M-Series loader models, setting the pace for greater productivity due to their enhancements in operator comfort, hydraulic power and easier serviceability. All four 74-hp loaders allow operators to meet emissions standards without a diesel particulate filter (DPF). The Tier IV Bobcat non-DPF solution was achieved by designing an ultra-low-particulate combustion engine.
