The Magnum DX40 Serial Device Router from GarrettCom Inc. offers flexible traffic management support in a compact, outdoor-hardened box. Combining the features of a serial-IP device server, Ethernet switch, IP router and IP firewall, the Magnum DX40 fits conveniently into outdoor control boxes at traffic intersections to support two serial ports for devices such as message boards, 2,070 traffic controllers and traffic counters while offering one high-bandwidth Ethernet copper port for a video camera and a second Ethernet fiber port for an uplink to the traffic operations center.
