May 2019 issue

May 8, 2019

The May 2019 issue of Roads & Bridges is our bridges issue, which includes an infographic look at our survey of national bridge conditions. It also features stories on several major bridge projects, including the $400 million design-build Pensacola Bay Bridge project along the Gulf of Mexico in Florida; the Cline Avenue Bridge project in East Chicago, Indiana, which serves as the connector for State Highway 912 and I-90; and the $60 million New Champ Clark Bridge project over the Mississippi River between Louisiana, Missouri, and Pittsfield, Illinois. The May issue also takes a look at a comparative study between hands-on vs. UAS or drone inspection techniques on the Big Mac Bridge between Newport, Kentucky, and Cincinnati, Ohio.
