Deadline Set for NWZ Memorial Name and Sponsor Submissions

The initial wave of names and sponsors for the National Work Zone Memorial

must be submitted to the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) by close-of-business Jan. 4, 2002, to be included

in the April unveiling of the project. Already nearly 300 names of those

killed in work zones, and over 25 sponsors, will be included. ATSSA and

Eastern Metal/USA Sign are currently exploring the possibility to have one

more upgrade to the memorial prior to April, but this has not yet been

determined. Therefore, meeting the Jan. 4 deadline is critical to ensure

inclusion during the April 2002 ceremonies. Both name submittal and

sponsorship forms are located at the Public Information link (www.atssa.com). Click on "NWZ Memorial."
