President Trump’s $1 trillion infrastructure plan has been slow out of the gate, and now the search for the gatekeepers has been called off.
A month after he signed an executive order to set up an infrastructure council to go over the details of his grand plan, President Trump deleted any further action for putting a group together. The move followed the violent protests in Charlottesville, Va. In response to the president’s delayed reaction to what happened over the weekend, business leaders started dropping out of President Trump’s advisory councils.
Meanwhile, a nonprofit group sued the Trump administration over the infrastructure council, accusing the president of trying to set it up without the required public disclosures.
