Vogele unveiled a new paver for the North American market at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2017—the 10-ft wheeled Super 2003-3i, which joins the 10-ft tracked Super 2000-3i.
Both pavers are designed primarily for use in highway construction and large-scale commercial applications. The Super 2000-3i and the Super 2003-3i can be combined with the VF 600, a screed with front-mounted extensions, as well as the VR 600 and AB 600, two screeds with rear-mounted extensions. The AB 600 extending screed is equipped with both a vibration system and tamper.
The Super 2000-3i and Super 2003-3i can be supplied with mix easily and quickly thanks to a hydraulically operated material hopper that holds 16.5 tons of material. Large, 16-in.-diam. auger flights with precision pitch ensure material is spread evenly.
The pavers also can be equipped with a thermal imaging camera, which is mounted on the roof of the operator’s cab and scans the width of the pavement to check the temperature of the mat at laydown.
