No. 7 - Elk Grove Creek Trail Crossing at S.R. 99

Dec. 15, 2014

You want to follow a trail. The design of the Elk Grove

Creek Trail Crossing was infl uenced by the existing trail

space topography at the site, as well as an existing Federal

Emergency Management Agency 100-year fl oodplain

on one side of the freeway. The approach landing areas

on either side of the new bridge also were designed as a

switchback system to provide through movements needed

for the existing trail system, along with the new connections

provided to local streets parallel and on both sides of

the freeway that also pass beneath the new bridge.
