Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute makes a call for entries
The Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute is now accepting entries for its Design Awards 2004.
Eligible projects for the competition must be predominantly cast-in-place or site-cast, conventionally reinforced concrete structures located in the U.S., Canada or Mexico and completed after Jan. 1, 2001. New construction as well as renovation projects are eligible.
The Request for Entry Form along with a $100 entry fee must be submitted by July 31, 2003. Submissions of entry material are due by Sept. 4, 2003, and more than one entry per firm is allowed.
Jury selections represent overall design excellence across a wide spectrum of project types including: buildings, bridges, parking structures and public infrastructure. Entries are evaluated based on four primary criteria: design innovation, contextual response, engineering excellence and construction efficiency.
Winners will receive national recognition through local and national publicity campaigns. Each winner will be featured in a CRSI Design Awards publication or calendar, in press releases and through other local awards programs. Each winner also will receive a commemorative plaque, and all projects submitted may be considered for future promotional use by CRSI in publications and seminars.
