Economical compaction

March 6, 2013

The Economizer monitoring device from Bomag alerts roller operators to the condition of the pavement via a series of LED lights. As the number of yellow lights increases, compaction levels are rising; no more passes are required when the number of lights holds steady. Decreasing lights indicate an area of weak compaction, while a red light shows an area of overcompaction. All data is provided in real-time. The Economizer will initially be available on Bomag’s BW 138 AD-5 vibratory tandem roller.
