Intuicom Incorporated, a premier supplier of wireless solutions to the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) market, announced today that the Montana Department of Transportation (MDOT), is deploying Intuicom's BroadbandPro™ Enterprise Management Software statewide in an effort to unify and centralize the management of their municipality-based traffic servers and TACTICS central traffic management software.
The deployment is orchestrated by Intuicom's Authorized Reseller, Western Systems, Inc., as part of the overall wireless communications initiative underway with MDOT. The agency has been using Intuicom's family of wireless BroadBand Solutions (BBS) for years. Intuicom's transceivers form the wireless communications infrastructure for Transportation Departments in many of the larger municipalities in Montana, including Billings, Missoula, Great Falls, and Helena.

He added that MDOT will now be able to configure and deploy their intersections more quickly, and can check the quality and strength of any signal remotely.
Drag-and-drop network configuration, real-time bi-directional network link data, and a performance dashboard that intuitively communicates network performance parameters including ping latency, signal-to-noise ratio, and Tx/Rx CCQ, are just of few of the advanced features inherent in BroadbandPro Enterprise Management Software.
"The alarm functionality that BroadBandPro Enterprise Management Software brings is more than revolutionary," Hanson explains. "It has the ability to notify a technician, by text or email, that there is a failure in the field. A lot of times they will get the notice from the software before Dispatch even knows there's a problem."
