Terex warm-mix system

March 20, 2012

The Terex warm-mix asphalt system lowers asphalt production temperatures by up to 90°F. Once water inside the 250-gal tank reaches a low point, controls automatically turn on water. The design includes an available solenoid valve to allow for recirculation, to prevent freezing. A patented expansion chamber, featuring single-point mixing of water and asphalt cement, is mounted on the plant’s existing liquid AC supply line, allowing operators to reverse the system. Inside, water is vaporized to expand. It can be sold new or installed on existing mixers.
