The Best of ITS Awards recognize outstanding intelligent transportation systems projects in two categories: Best New Innovative Products, Services or Applications and Best New Innovative Practices.

Two state agencies were named finalists in the Product, Service or Application category: The Florida DOT’s District 6 was honored for its Intelligent Transportation System Facility Management System while the Oregon DOT’s Office of Innovative Partnerships and Alternative Funding was recognized for its Oregon Road Usage Charge Pilot Program.

For Best New Innovative Practices, three state DOTs were recognized as finalists: the Michigan DOT for the Southeast Michigan Transportation Operations Center; the Virginia DOT for the Virginia ITS Communication Network: A Public-Private Partnership Success; and the Idaho DOT for Winter Performance Measures.

The winners for each category will be revealed at the 23rd ITS America annual meeting and exposition on Monday, April 22, in Nashville. The full list of finalists can be seen on the ITS America website.
