Wirtgen America Inc., Antioch, Tenn., recently featured their asphalt compactors at the World of Asphalt, including the large HD Series of rollers from the Hamm Compaction Division. The HD 130 HV double-drum articulated machine is the largest Hamm asphalt compactor sold in the U.S. At 30,644 lb and 84 in. wide, it boasts a top speed of 7.6 mph. The HD Series of compactors yields many benefits to contractor owners, including a 180° swiveling rotating operator’s seat, 5-in-1 control levers and curb clearance of 31 in.
