Flint Trading claims that the RetroSign GR3 is the only handheld instrument that sequentially measures retroreflectivity at observation angles of 0.2, 0.5 and 1° specified by ASTM and used by NTPEP.
The GR3’s point aperture geometry measures nighttime visibility by replicating realistic driving conditions as a driver approaches a sign. Retroreflectivity measurements can be taken safely during the day by various personnel instead of at night by trained personnel.
