As cities strive to meet climate goals and create more livable communities, the transformation of existing infrastructure is key. This webinar explores how public agencies and consultants are rethinking streets—not just as conduits for cars, but as shared spaces that support walking, biking and community connection.

Join Chenin Otto of GHD and Luke Schwartz of the City of San Luis Obispo as they share how their work is helping to repurpose travel lanes, redesign corridors and activate public space. Learn how these efforts align with San Luis Obispo’s Active Transportation Plan and broader goals for sustainability, equity and mobility for all.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discover how to repurpose existing infrastructure to support active transportation and community engagement.
  • Learn how public-private partnerships can accelerate multimodal project delivery.
  • Explore case studies that demonstrate successful lane conversions, corridor redesigns, and linking networks with safe crossings at critical junctures
  • Understand how to align infrastructure investments with long-term sustainability and equity goals.
